How to add an assessment format



An assessment format is vital for the evaluation of a student's performance within a school term or session. It consists of scores breakdown from different mediums used to assess a student (e.g. Assignments, Tests, and Continuous Assessments, etc.). In this article, we will show you how to create an assessment format and also add sub-assessments if required.


To add an assessment format, follow these steps;


  1. Log into your administrative profile and click on Configurations” at the bottom left-hand side.

  2. Click on Performance Configurations” at the bottom right-hand side.



  1. Click on the Assessment” tab.

  2. Click on the “Add Assessment” button.



  1. You can select an already configured assessment format by clicking on Use Template”.

  2. “Enter” the Format Name (e.g. Primary Assessment Format).

  3. Under Assessment, enter”  the Assessment Name (e.g. Continuous Assessment 1 or CA 1), Assessment Percent (e.g. 40%)and Select the Assessment Type.

  4. If you wish to break down the assessment further, Click Add sub assessment” to add a sub-assessment (e.g. Test, Quiz, Homework).

  5. Click Add Another” to add another assessment (e.g. Continuous Assessment 2 or CA 2).

  6. Click Preview” to view the assessment format created.


  1. Click Save”.
